Meet The Sheep World Hand-Quilted Laundry Basket
The Sheep World basket is not designed like an ordinary mass-produced hamper.
Each piece is individually cut, quilted, appliquéd and sewn by hand. The outer shell combines quilted cotton fabric with polyester filling to create a soft appearance while helping the basket maintain its shape.
Sheep, meadow flowers, trees and clouds are applied around the basket individually, with some details built in three dimensions. Even the back and bottom are designed rather than left as an unfinished “hidden side.”
Inside, the wide opening offers enough room for a family's weekly laundry, towels, blankets, children's items, toys or throws.
Sturdy sewn fabric handles make carrying easier, while the flexible structure allows the basket to fold flatter when it is not needed.
And this collection is finite:
Around 1,200 baskets remained when the final collection was announced. Once they are gone, Chrissi will not be making another production run.

According to the story behind each piece, every Sheep World basket is individually cut, hand-quilted, appliquéd, and sewn—without a mass-production process or the use of embroidery machines. From the first cut of fabric to the final stitch on the handle, a single basket can take several days to complete.
Small variations in the placement of a sheep, flower, or stitched detail are not considered defects. They are part of what makes each handmade piece unique, giving every basket its own character and making no two exactly alike.
